Signs of neglect

There’s occasions when most parents find it difficult to cope with the many demands a child need for them to be cared for. But it doesn’t mean that their child is being neglected.
Neglect involves continual , serve failure to meet the basic needs of their:

* If the child seems underweight and very small for the child’s age.
* If the child is always dress/clothed with insufficient protection from the weather
* If the child is often absent from school for no reason
* If the child is left alone (this is the most frequent cause of child death)
* Has to look after their siblings.
* The child having dirty skin
*The child having body odour
*The child not having their hair wash nor combed
*Appear to have injuries from lack of supervision.
* Have minor infections and have ailment on a regular basis, which goes untreated.
*the child appear hungry all the time
*The child being tired all the time due to lack of sleep or irregular sleep habits.

Neglected children also may show signs of behavioural problems
*Talking about being left to fend fro themselves or being in charge of their household and siblings.
*Acting responsible beyond their age, perhaps young children appear knowledgeable in cooking, caring for other siblings which not usually associated with their age.
