In the life of a person everyone will at some point feel down sometimes, but depression is than just feeling down it can make a person
* Unable to sleep or sleep Patten changes E.g. waking up in early hours of morning, wanting to sleep in day and not a night, trouble falling a sleep.
*Unable to eat
* Or over eating
*Unable to think or make a decision
*A guilty feeling can occur
*A helpless feeling can occur
*Wanted to cry all the time (some times the person may not know why)
*It can make you irritable.
*A hopeless feeling may occur
*And the person can’t make themselves feel better.
*Low self-esteem
*Intolerant of other people
*Little or no interest in things
*Thoughts of harming some else
* Suicidal thoughts
*Alack of enjoyment
* A lack of motivation
* Feeling anxious
*Reduced sex drive
*Slowed moment or Speech
*Weight changes (can increase or decrease)
*Constipation can occur
*Lack of energy
*Changes in menstrual cycle
* Unexplained aches and pains
* In an older person a sudden memory loss or loss in concentration.

Although some people can have these effects but it isn’t depression as they don’t last as long as the depression feelings. Depression feelings they can accumulate and don’t go away. These feeling can lasts a few weeks to months to years.
